This document not only applies to questions on DC Schools (DCPS and Public Charter Schools), but
also to recreation centers, day care centers, parochial schools, private schools, and public libraries-- anywhere where children spend extended amounts of time in larger groups and consume water from tap sources.
To contribute to the Lead Free DC community-based advocacy, the Environmental Justice (EJ) Committee of the DC Sierra Club, created the following maps by georeferencing the data (pdf data charts) provided by DGS, to graphically depict the tested sites and the results.

The District/DC Water has collected pipe material data for service lines based on permit records, water main tap records, meter records, and maintenance, repair and replacement work

Green Neighbors is an all-volunteer group of residents of the Petworth, Brightwood, Park View, and Columbia Heights neighborhoods in Washington, DC.  Our goal is to lower our neighborhoods’ emissions of carbon and other pollutants that contribute to global warming and to make renewable energy and other sustainable resources more accessible to everyone in our community.Â
